Jill

I bought my set 35 years ago, and a few years ago I left some potatoes on the stove and forgot them. I smelt the smoke a when I got to the kitchen they were burnt to a crisp. My husband was sleeping so I wanted to put the pot outside before the smoke alarm went off. Without thinking I put the pot down to open the back patio door and the pot melted the carpet and stuck to the bottom. I thought the pot would be done for sure but a friend of mine took it home and sprayed some WD40 on the bottom and inside. The carpet popped off and the three inches thick of burnt potatoes came out in one piece. I was amazed. The pot still looks like it did before and I still use it.
